What would a day at the KSL ranch look like?
There is little to no structure. No meetings, no assignments, no requirements. The time is yours to use to rest.
What meals are provided?
We operate like a Bed & Breakfast, so a hot breakfast is provided each morning during your stay. Lunch and dinner on on your own.
What if I have dietary needs?
Please let us know. If you have a food sensitivity, we will contact you to see what you can or can’t have. If you have more serious food allergies, we may have you bring and prepare your own breakfast food.
Where would I store my perishable food?
We have a mini refrigerator in your suite for whatever food you bring.
would the kitchen be available if I wish to prepare a meal?
Remember, our goal is to give both of you rest. If you desire to prepare an occasional lunch or dinner, you may use the kitchen.
What local dining options are there?
We’re located 4 miles south of Sisters and there are several good restaurants available. Bend is 15 miles south of us and there is a huge variety of restaurants there. You’ll find information about the local restaurants in your suite.
What is there to do at the ranch?
There are roads that weave in and around the entire ranch if you would like to take walks. If you’re into fishing, we have a 2.5 acre lake you can fish (catch and release), or you can take a little canoe ride and enjoy the wildlife and view. We would love to give you a tour on our 6-person golf cart if you’re interested. We also have a library of various books in the living room if you want to read.
WHAT IS THERE TO DO IN THE SISTERS AREA?
Quite a variety…sightseeing, spectacular hiking, biking, floating the Deschutes river and of course, shopping! We can help with recommendations.
What is the weather like?
Expect warm days and cool nights during the summer. One enchanting virtue about central Oregon is that even on cool days during fall, winter and spring, there’s usually sunshine to brighten the day. We would advise you to check the forecast to know how to pack.
Do you have WIfi?
Yes, but no TV.
DO WE NEED TO BRING BEDDING?
No…we provide all necessary bedding on our king-size Sleep Number beds.
Who else will be staying at the ranch?
We host two couples in the log home in addition to the host couple. Each suite is designed for your comfort and autonomy, if that is what you need. The great room, with a fireplace, is provided for community. However, if your soul needs solitude, there is no pressure to engage in conversation.
ARE CHILDREN oR PETS ALLOWED?
We are not set up for children or pets. Our focus is for couples to come for respite and renewal.
Can a MARRIED Pastor come alone?
We strongly encourage both pastor and spouse to attend as both need rest.
